Introducing Two New Tools For Game Developers to Simplify Ad Performance and Support
Managing in-game ad performance while delivering an immersive player experience can be challenging. To help make this easier, we've introduced two new features to the Anzu Publisher Dashboard, our comprehensive, user-friendly platform designed to give game developers full visibility and control over their intrinsic in-game ad placements.
To make things easier, we’ve added two new features to the Anzu Publisher Dashboard: Publisher Ad Analytics for data insights and Contextual Help for instant support. These tools are designed to give you more control over your intrinsic in-game ad placements and bring support right where you need it, making ad management and troubleshooting straightforward.
Publisher Ad Analytics: A New Way to See Ad Performance
Publisher Ad Analytics provides a clear, interactive view of how ads are performing in your game. The new drag-and-drop interface lets you select exactly which metrics you want to see, organize them in a way that makes sense to you, and view the results through various charts. This means you can build a daily snapshot of revenue or impressions or dive deeper to spot trends and optimize ad placements to keep revenue flowing.
Key Features:
- Customizable Daily View: Start each day with a quick look at your key metrics, like revenue, eCPM, and GTR, so you know exactly how your game’s ads are performing.
- Data Cube: This is your go-to for in-depth analysis. With the Data Cube, you can explore metrics like bid rate, win rate, and impressions per user across different dimensions—whether by game, region, platform, or media type.
- Flexible Visualizations: Line charts, bar charts, heat maps—you choose the view that works best. This makes it easier to understand your data and identify trends without sifting through a sea of numbers.
How Does This Help?
If you want to compare yesterday’s revenue with last week's or last month's, a couple of clicks is all it takes. You can pull this data into the dashboard and even filter by specific games or platforms. Spotting changes early helps you fine-tune ad strategies quickly to achieve the best results.
Contextual Help: Support at Your Fingertips
We’ve also added Contextual Help to the dashboard. This feature automatically provides relevant support articles right in the section you’re working on. No more toggling between tabs or searching through a help center—now, answers are just a click away.
How Does It Work?
When you’re setting up a new metric filter or trying out a different visualization, the widget in the bottom right corner of the dashboard suggests articles specific to that area. You can open guides and follow along with the steps, making it easier to solve issues or experiment with best practices as you work.
Why Does This Matter?
Instead of losing momentum searching for instructions, Contextual Help keeps everything in one place. Whether you’re setting up a new ad placement or troubleshooting, you’ll have the guidance you need without needing to leave the platform.
Making the Most of These Tools
To get the best results, here are a few tips:
- Set up a Routine: Use Publisher Ad Analytics' daily view to monitor key metrics like revenue, impressions, and eCPM. Regular tracking helps you catch changes early and address them promptly.
- Explore Trends: In the Data Cube, monitor metrics like GTR and Exposure Rate by different dimensions to see how players are engaging with ads. Adjust placements based on what’s working to keep your ads effective and non-disruptive.
- Use Contextual Help as a Guide: Make use of the support articles as you work—these are tailored to help you get the most from each feature in the dashboard.
With these new tools, you’ll have more control and insights than ever before, helping you optimize your intrinsic in-game ad placements while keeping your focus where it matters—on making great games.
